Interfacing Cultural Rhetorics: A History & A Call

In this collaboration, I, Casie Cobos, Donnie Johnson Sackey, Jennifer Sano-Franchini, and Angela M. Haas historicize and open up possibilities for future Cultural Rhetorics (CR) work by attending to situated communities and contexts. A central concern for us was to not to limit or universalize CR to/through any one context or community. We wanted to recognize & respect the long history of established CR work while also showing that CR can exist even where it has not been labeled as such. My trajectory portion offered questions that must be continually taken up when doing CR work, particularly within the context of indigeneity.
